Armwrestling is a game in which two men compete to show who has stronger arms byway of takingthe right hand of each other and forcing the back of other’s handto touch the ground.
Competitorsfirst lie on theirhands and knees, or on their bellies to take a posture for playing the game.
Then they hold eachother’s right elbow from the side.
Itis because if elbow is pushed sideways to the right or left, or lifted from the ground, itis impossible to judge the game correctly.
When the signal is given,thegame starts and competitors usethe strength of their arms to turn over each other’s hand and bring it down totouch the ground. Anyone who does it is the winner of the game.
Inthe game, winnersare decided by who first bends the wrist of the opponent and who has greaterperseverance and forearm strength.
Arm wrestling can beplayed with left hands and the method is the same.
When it is played betweenpeople with difference in the strength of arms and age, the stronger one holdsthe wrist of the weaker one or the latter holds the former’s hand with his twohands.
Armwrestling helps people build up the strength of their arms, will andperseverance.
