The Hyesan Steel Works, which completed its yearly production plan till September, strives to produce more steel.
The factory has directed efforts to the management of talents to reinforce its technical forces in quality and quantity and, on this basis, pushed ahead with the business activities and increased production.
The factory is encouraging talents to take an active part in technical consultations and make creative proposals and promoting mutual cooperation to solve the problems arising in production by its own efforts.
Thus, many employees are growing to be inventors contributing to steel production through their active participation in the sci-tech emulation drive.
This year alone, the factory has introduced more than 10 valuable technical innovation proposals raised by them to main production lines.
The steel workshop increased the lifespan of the induction furnace by 1.5 times and remarkably reduced production cost by manufacturing a high-quality refractory adhesive binder essential for the repair of furnace with locally available raw materials. The factory also manufactured a three-phase automatic power factor controller by relying on its own technical force.
The rolling workshop saved much electricity and increased working ability twice as compared with the past by remodelling heat exchanger to suit the actual conditions and manufactured parts of a material guide apparatus to raise the actual output rate of products.
Meanwhile, the factory raised the efficiency of the round steel coiling machine, thus providing a guarantee for saving a lot of manpower.
