The State Academy of Sciences has established a technique for producing a compound potassic fertilizer based on locally available potassic feldspar.
The general processing of potassic feldspar results in potassic fertilizer, silicon fertilizer, alumina and cement.
A task force formed by the academy took an in-depth survey and analysis of the existing documents and carried out an uphill experimental project in a short period.
A pilot process was set up in an area which is favourable and rational in terms of raw materials supply and introduction of technique in order to establish a technique for producing the compound potassic fertilizer, before setting out to determine industrial indexes and assess economic efficiency.
In cooperation with relevant units, the researchers finished the construction of pilot production line in six months, the test run of which was successful on the first try late in September last year. On this basis, they launched trial production, checking most of major technical and economic indexes for industrialization.
The new technique helps lower cost and consume much less energy. According to units that have introduced it, the compound potassic fertilizer is of great value as it has rich contents of potassium, silicon, calcium and magnesium and helps boost the output of paddy rice, corn, wheat and barley.
