DPRK wins 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

Inthe 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, the DPRK team took the first place andlifted the World Cup for the second time this year.

Amidthe focus of attention of football experts, fans and spectators across theworld, the final match between the DPRK and Spanish teams took place onNovember 3(local time).

TheDPRK eleven played the game dynamically, putting pressure on the opponent byactive tackles from the outset.

Althoughthey lost a point first in the second half, they mounted persistent attackswhile intensifying mutual cooperation, without slowing down in the least.

Inthe 66th minute, No. 7 Jon Il Chong avoided the Spanish goalkeeper and scored agoal by correctly kicking the ball passed by No. 19 to the back space of theopponent backs.

Asno more goals were scored, the two teams had to go through a penalty shoot-out.

Inthe thrilling shoot-out, the DPRK team beat the Spanish 4-3.

Asa result, the DPRK defeated Spain 5-4 (1-1 in the first and second halves and4-3 in the shoot-out) and thus won the World Cup.

TheDPRK players won all six matches from the group league matches to the final,scoring 14 goals in total.

No.7 Jon Il Chong, who displayed high skills and made a contribution to the team’svictory with a decisive goal, was chosen as the most valuable player of the event.

Inthe awarding ceremony, the DPRK women, who won the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s WorldCup, were awarded the winner’s trophy and gold medals and Jon Il Chong the GoldenBall, the most valuable player award.

Theproud success of the women players who fully displayed their features as the world’spowerful team gives great encouragement to all the people of the country whoare all out in the struggle to make a dynamic leap forward in the overalldevelopment of the country, demonstrating the dignity and honour of the countryto the world.
