Memorial Events Held in Russia on Demise Anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Political parties, organizations and institutions of Russia held memorial meetings, seminars on exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il and other events between Dec. 12 and 17 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of demise of the Chairman. They included the Amur Regional Branch Committee and the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Communist Workers’ Party of Russia, the Sevastopol City Committee of the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation, the Tynda City Group for the Study of the Juche Idea.
Speeches were made at the events attended by personages of relevant units and citizens.
The first secretary of the Amur Regional Branch Committee and the first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation praised Kim Jong Il as a peerless patriot, prominent leader, defender of justice and socialism and benevolent father of the people, who made immortal contributions to the Korean revolution and the cause of independence against imperialism.
The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Workers’ Party and the chairman of the Tynda City Group for the Study of the Juche Idea praised Kim Jong Il for his world-historic exploits, saying that he is the greatest man with matchless leadership and strategy.
Personages of the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia War Veterans’ Social Organization "Militant Fraternity" and the Far East State Science Library said that the relations between the two countries, put on a fresh level through Kim Jong Il’s several visits to Russia, have reached an unprecedentedly high stage thanks to the historic meetings between President Putin and Comrade Kim Jong Un.
They noted that they will further strengthen their solidarity with the Korean people in the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle in the future, too.
Messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events.
