Decades have passed since the gunfire of war ceased on this land.
However, durable peace has not yet settled.
Due to the aggressor forces’ constant moves to trigger another war, the Korean peninsula has been recognized as one of the crucial hot spots.
While the Korean People’s Army has impregnably defended the outpost for defending peace on this land where a war danger exists on a constant basis, the reliable Worker-Peasant Red Guards have always been in the rear.
In peacetime, the ordinary working people devote their patriotic efforts in all workplaces including factories, farms, fisheries and construction sites. But they have stepped up military and technical preparations with a will to annihilate the enemies at a single strike once they pounce upon the DPRK.
Whenever the country was faced with the crisis of outbreak of a new war, including the EC-121 large spy plane and Panmunjom incidents caused by the US imperialists, the Worker-Peasant Red Guards throughout the country got fully ready for combat and turned out in the showdown with the enemy.
When a state of semi-war was declared in the country in 1993, the WPRG discharged their mission and role with credit in the campaign to safeguard socialism.
When the ROK puppets committed the provocative acts of infringing upon the sovereignty of the sacred capital city of the DPRK last year, the WPRG members turned out in a fight without gunshot for defending the socialist system with a will to annihilate the enemy.
The WPRG is fully ready for independently carrying out any military operations and fighting battles in the modern warfare.
The paramilitary parade for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the DPRK showcased the development aspect of its paramilitary force.
The columns of anti-aircraft gun and camouflaged multiple launch rocket system, which impregnably defend the sky over their villages and workplaces, motorcycles with swift mobile power and antitank missiles clearly demonstrated the might of the WPRG and its will to deal a merciless hard blow to aggressors.
Under the wise leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the WPRG will continue to fulfil its mission as the reliable wing of the Korean People’s Army and an invincible militia that firmly defends the independent dignity and sovereign rights and the gains of the revolution they achieved at the cost of blood by grasping the rifle in one hand and hammer, sickle or writing brush in the other and by boosting military capabilities for self-defence.
