On results of implementation of state budget of DPRK for 2024 and its state budget for 2025

Deputy Ri Myong Guk, Minister of Finance, made a report on the agenda item "On the Results of the Implementation of the State Budget of the DPRK for 2024 and Its State Budget for 2025" at the Twelfth Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
He said:
The state budge for 2024 was fulfilled as planned thanks to the vigorous struggle of the entire people firmly rallied behind the great Party to successfully attain the immediate goals of the five-year plan for national economic development while overcoming all the national crises and challenges such as the despicable and vicious political and military provocations and economic sanctions of the hostile forces and the flood damage by disastrous abnormal weather.
The state budget income plan for 2024 was carried out at 101.6 percent, thus increasing to 104.3 percent as against the previous year. The successful fulfilment of the state budget is a result of the extraordinary leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea and the devoted patriotic struggle of the entire people boundlessly loyal to the appeal of the Party.
This year we are faced with a heavy yet honourable duty to prove a firm financial guarantee to the fulfilment of the national economic plan in the last year of the five-year plan in hearty response to the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress and the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
This year's state budget was compiled to accelerate the important change of national defence capabilities, successfully carry out the five-year plan by concentrating investment on major sectors of the national economy so that they can display the might of the self-supporting economy, and improve the people's living and ensure the overall development in all fields of socialist construction including science, education, public health and culture.
Funds equivalent to 103.8 percent as against last year will be appropriated for this year's state budget.
All the officials shouldimplement the state budget with responsibility this year, too, so that it can be a realistic and effective budget actively promoting prosperity and development of our state and welfare of the people and thus fully provide funds necessary for attaining the goals of struggle set by the Eighth Party Congress with success, he noted.
