Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- All the people of the DPRK have enthusiastically sung famous songs of the times, praising the immortal revolutionary exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il through generations and deeply taken the pride in the most glorious era in the 5 000-year-long history of the nation which upheld with his revolutionary heritage as a cornerstone and the deep weight of the Korean February.

The first hymn "We Will Be Loyal to You Generation after Generation", presented to Kim Jong Il by the Korean people with ardent fascination and trust in him, highly resounded in the early years of the 1970s.

Hymns on Kim Jong Il who proclaimed the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea and ushered in an era of brilliant prosperity unprecedented in the history of the country were reverberated in the advance of the 1970s and 1980s.

The songs including the "Song of the Dear Comrade Kim Jong Il " and "Comrade Kim Jong Il Is the Glory of Korea" were the expression of the glorious era for the outstanding leader and an eruption of the unanimous desire of all the people to hold him with loyalty.

Produced in the first half of the 1990s were famous songs reflecting the delight of the civilians and service personnel for holding the peerlessly illustrious commander at the top post of the revolutionary armed forces and the good luck of having brilliant commander generation after generation.

"Ode to Comrade Kim Jong Il ", the hymn of all the people, and songs like "Best Wishes" and "No Motherland without You" are singing the people's emotion and firm pledge to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem.

The "Song of General Kim Jong Il ", the immortal revolutionary hymn, was created in February 1997 to mark the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation to shake the whole planet.

The creation of a national treasure work which successfully represented the unanimous desire of all people to praise and follow the rare elder statesman, a peerlessly brilliant commander, on a high artistic level was a great event of weighty significance in the history of the development of Juche-oriented music.

Also created were many monumental songs to praise the immortal exploits of the Songun brilliant commander who made a long journey for defending the country.

The Korean people deeply grasped the noble feats of Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life to the people, while singing songs "O We Miss You" and "Song of Love for People" in those days when the whole country was grieved at the sorrow of the sudden demise of the father of the nation.

The songs of yearning for the immortality of Kim Jong Il resounded throughout the country in the new era of the Juche revolution in which a new history of the cause of immortalizing the great leaders was ushered in under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

The song "Might of Korea" resounded far and wide in the morning of the New Year 2012 amid the boundless reverence of the Korean people and service personnel for the great sage of the revolution, the peerless patriot who made a long journey of devotion for the people.
