Birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il celebrated by Koreans in China
Events were held at the General Association of Koreans in China on the occasion of the 83rd birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
Officials and members of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Association of Korean Women in China and the Jilin City Branch of the Jilin Regional Association of the General Association, the family of Hwang Paek Ha, China-resident Korean related to the anti-Japanese revolution, and the family of the former vice-chairperson of the Jilin Regional Association laid floral baskets before the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Il Sung at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and paid tribute to him on the 15th.
Floral baskets were also laid before the portraits and pictures of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in China and the DPRK missions in Shenyang and Dandong in the name of the General Association of Koreans in China and the Zhongnan Regional Association and the Dandong City Branch of the Liaoning Regional Association of the General Association on the 16th.
A meeting was held on the 15th to adopt a congratulatory letter addressed to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
A report meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China was held in Shenyang on the 16th to celebrate the 83rd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.
Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and other officials of the General Association of Koreans in China, officials of theFederation of Korean Economic Workers in China, theAssociation of Young Korean Nationals in China and the Liaoning Regional Association of the General Association and citizens of the Shenyang City Branch.

Then, a performance was given.
Meanwhile, the Changbai County Branch of the Jilin Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China and its affiliated organizations watched the report meeting and performance of the General Association through video and held colourful events.
