A symposium in the sports sector was held at the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports on the 25th to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's famous work "Let Us Usher in a New Heyday of Building a Sports Power in the Revolutionary Spirit of Paektu".
Speeches were made by Minister Kim Il Guk, Vice-Minister Pak Chon Jong, Department Director Pak Yong Il, President of the Academy of Sports Science Ri Tong Chol, Director of the Secretariat of the National Sports Guidance Committee Kim Chun Sik.
Speakers stressed that the famous work of Kim Jong Un is shining as a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon for developing the sports of the country onto a higher level.
They said that in the work Kim Jong Un indicated the correctest policy of struggle to extraordinarily accelerate the technical development of sports of every event in keeping with the trend of development of sports.
They stressed that the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and other sports guidance organs at all levels should make a far-sighted plan to implement the sports policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and organize and guide the work to carry it out and, in particular, increase the enthusiasm for competition between the sports teams and the people's zeal for sports all the more.
