Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- A grand short course of Korean Children's Union (KCU) instructors from schools across the country took place here from March 26 to 29 for the first time in its history.

Present there were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ju Chang Il and Kim Jong Sun, department directors of the C.C., WPK, Kim Sung Du, minister of Education, officials of the Central Committee and provincial, city and county committees of the youth league, officials of sector related to the affairs with schoolchildren and KCU instructors from across the country.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.

He said that the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un took a measure to significantly organize the grand short course and gave detailed instructions on the preparations for it.

Expressing conviction that the grand short course would serve as an epochal occasion for all the KCU instructors and officials related to the affairs with schoolchildren to bring about a fresh development in the work of KCU organizations at schools, true to the idea of the respected fatherly Marshal on training the new generation, he declared the grand short course opened.

Then, Kim Jong Un 's teachings on the Children's Union work were conveyed.

The reporter said that the ideas and policies on the work of the Children's Union set forth by the respected fatherly Marshal are the precious guidelines to be held fast to in the work of the Children's Union in the new era.

The deep trust and love of the great father, who honored the instructors with the precious title of designers, operators and doers in the work of the Children's Union, has served as the motive force that made them follow only the road of loyalty and repayment with unflagging enthusiasm, he noted.

The successes made by many school Children's Union organizations across the country proved that it is possible to prepare all schoolchildren to be genuine successors to the revolution and pillars of building a thriving nation only when the instructors work heart and soul with conscience and sincerity.

The report analyzed a series of shortcomings revealed in the work to improve the method of educating the Children's Union members, strengthen the KCU organizations of schools and enhance their role.

The reporter said that today the Children's Union instructors are faced with the honorable duty to prepare all the KCU members to be young revolutionaries and patriots who would firmly shoulder the future of powerful Korea, adding that the success in this important and responsible revolutionary work depends on the new determination, preparedness, extraordinary efforts and hard work of all the Children's Union instructors across the country.

He stressed that all the school Children's Union instructors should regard the WPK's ideology on the KCU work as the immutable guidelines and organize and implement every work as instructed by the respected fatherly Marshal.

The reporter called on all the participants to further strive for the good mental growth of the KCU members and for the development of the glorious KCU, bearing deep in mind the sacred mission and duty they have assumed before the Party and the revolution, the country and the people.

Then, there was a short course on theoretical and practical issues arising in bringing about innovations in the work of Children's Union instructors.

The short course dealt with the issue for the Children's Union instructors to fully play their role as political guardians in firmly preparing the Children's Union members to be young revolutionaries and patriots intensely loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un .

There was a lecture on the need to conduct the education of Children's Union members in a substantial way by actively studying new methods in conformity with their level of consciousness, psychological characteristics and actual conditions.

The short course dealt with the issue of intensifying the guidance over the Children's Union members' study and organizational life and the issue of more briskly organizing and conducting the good-conduct movement and socio-political activities for giving benefits to the country's economic life and contributing to building a powerful socialist country.

It had a question-and-answer and an explanation lecture on the practical matters arising in the Children's Union work and a lecture on the fact that the era of a great power unprecedented in the history of the nation spanning 5 000 years is being ushered in under the wise guidance of the respected fatherly Marshal.
