This year, regional-industry factories were built in 20 cities and counties across the country as the first creations of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, and the second-round construction of regional-industry factories and the construction of three essential projects—hospital, leisure complex and grain storage station—started in succession.

As another grand new street for the people took on a majestic appearance in the Hwasong area of Pyongyang, the fourth-stage construction of 10 000 flats started in the area as the final-stage task of the five-year plan for the construction of the capital city.

In the meantime, beautiful villages boasting of the DPRK-style rural civilization are rising up in all parts of the country.

It is noteworthy that the amplitude of all these projects, including the capital city construction, the rural housing construction being pushed across the country and the implementation of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, is getting bigger day by day.

In the first year of the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang, the Workers’ Party of Korea pushed ahead with the construction of a luxury residential area on the picturesque bank of the Pothong River, while building 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa area. Last year, Rimhung and Jonwi streets were completed in Pyongyang and citizens joyfully moved into the new flats.

The construction of rural houses simultaneously underway in all parts of the country is also getting more gigantic year after year, and the happy events of house-moving are taking place in rural villages successively, adding festive mood to the whole country all the year round.

It is the steadfast will of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to put forward the DPRK people as the happiest in the world.

He said that it is the requirement of the Party that the undertakings for the people should always be done on the highest level and that there should never be satisfaction in them.

The Party which is never satisfied in the work for the people—this indicates for whom and what the Party exists and struggles and what is the true meaning of the blessing of having a great party which the DPRK people eulogize generation after generation.

Thanks to the grandiose ideal of the respected General Secretary to provide the people with the best civilization and happiest life in the world, the people are not dreaming but vividly picturing the future when they will enjoy a new, civilized and affluent life, wherever they live, as the capital and regions are changing at the same time and not just the urban areas but the rural areas are undergoing a remarkable transformation.

It is the WPK’s love for the people that it is never satisfied in the work for the people.
