Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Sports Goods Factory in the DPRK is a comprehensive sports goods producer that contributes substantially to the development of the country's sports and the people's cultural and leisure activities.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the factory nearing completion on June 1, 2016.
Going round various places of the factory, he gave instructions for increasing the varieties of athletic equipment and sports goods and raising the quality of products with brand "Taesongsan" to the world standard.
The factory has steadily raised the technical knowledge and skills of its employees and organized discussions on technology and idea presentations to introduce technical innovation proposals into production.
Remarkable progress was made in developing new products and improving the quality of athletic equipment and sports goods. The factory manufactured various kinds of training equipment effective for the sportspersons to conduct physical training in a scientific way in conformity with their age, sex and physical constitution and sent them to sports teaching and training units. Its technicians and workers gave precedence to the designing of athletic equipment and sports goods and manufactured them according to the technical regulations.
The factory won the Twice Three-Revolution Red Flag, the title of Thrice Model Technical Innovation Unit and the title of model sports unit.
