Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a press conference on October 21 that European countries have been reduced to an appendage of the US.
Acts of terrorism committed against the “Northern Stream” gas pipeline infringe upon the possibility of development in Germany and many other European countries and they have been reduced to an appendage of the US in the fields of the economy, finance and electric power, he said.
This notwithstanding, the European countries keep mum about it, expecting that the US would protect them, he stated, saying that the US would rather kick them away like a pair of old shoes after obtaining what it needs, even though they are allies.
The West, which gained control of North America, Africa and other regions of the world by way of occupying others’ land and killing natives, are used to the colonial mode of existence, he said. He censured it for scheming to realize its wild ambition by a neo-colonialist method.
It is a well-known fact that such an extremely negative system of international relations, which is being led by the Anglo-Saxons, has a long innings, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed.
