New Formulation of Socialist Power

One day in May, 2013, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un had a historic talk with the officials on powerfully accelerating the construction of a socialist power by bringing about a turn in sci-tech development.

He emphasized that the politico-ideological and military might of the country can be displayed higher when backed up by the latest science and technology in the present era, the era of science and technology and of knowledge-based economy. What’s more, the line of simultaneously promoting economic construction and nuclear buildup newly put forward by our Party presupposes the rapid development of science and technology and the development of science and technology decides the successful implementation of the line, he taught.

Looking around the officials, the respected General Secretary noted that it is our Party’s plan and goal to put the science and technology of the country on a world level and all the sectors on a scientific level in the shortest period and thus turn ours into a competent sci-tech power.

He declared that the socialist power is precisely the sci-tech power.

Indeed, his teachings that day gave another new formulation of the socialist power.

The Way to Become Strong

In September, 2017, the respected General Secretary inspected Farm No. 1116 again.

Making rounds of the newly-built institute, he expressed satisfaction.

One official informed him that the researchers were so eager to repay the benevolence of the Party with better results in research work.

With a broad smile on his face, the respected General Secretary said that he was pleased, too, and he would spare nothing for the researchers of the farm.

He stressed that what we should count on is the strength of science and technology and what we should rely on is the keen intelligence of scientists and technicians.

After a short while, the respected General Secretary underlined the need for the officials to boost the agricultural science research sector, give preferential treatment to the scientists and technicians and actively rouse their creative enthusiasm in order to implement the Party’s agricultural revolution policy.

That day, he noted that one becomes strong when one holds fast to science and technology and becomes weak when one fails to do so and that the speed of the sci-tech development is that of the country’s development.

The officials realized once again that it is the way to become strong to hold fast to science and technology and do everything in reliance on it.
