The 77th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army was significantly celebrated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Those who visited the park of the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state, looked back with reverence upon their sacred revolutionary lives.
Officials, working people, service personnel of the People's Army and school youth and children visited the bronze statues and mosaic murals of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and in different parts of the country, laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers and paid a tribute to them.
At the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, working people and school youth and children looked back with deep emotion upon the resolute fighting spirit of victorious wartime generations that wrote the history of war victory under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung.
Many people visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery.
National flags were fluttered and diverse visual aids displayed in major places of Pyongyang, and provincial, city and county seats and at institutions, industrial establishments and farms across the country, increasing the festive mood.
A concert of the National Symphony Orchestra was given at the Moranbong Theatre in celebration of the 77th founding anniversary of the KPA and other colourful performances in the capital city of Pyongyang and provinces.
That day, many working people and youth and students across the country called on war veterans to congratulate them.
Public catering establishments in the city of Pyongyang and provinces, the Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum, the Munsu Water Park and other bases for a cultural and emotional life were crowded with working people enjoying the holiday and the bright lights in all places of the capital city added pleasure to the people all the more.
