More than 100 women in Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province, volunteered to work at honourable posts with the desire to glorify their true life as women workers in the revolutionary advance for the comprehensive development of socialism.
Members of the women’s union in Ranam, Sinam and Phohang districts vowed to work at the Ranam Coal-Mining Machine Factory, Chongjin Footwear Factory, and others.
Women’s union members in the city including Sunam and Songphyong districts volunteered as workers at the Chongjin School Uniform Factory and raw material bases of the regional-industry factories and those in Chongam District as farmers.
A meeting to congratulate them took place at the Chongjin City Hall of Culture on February 18. Present there were Choe Yong Ho, secretary of the provincial committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and members of the women’s union.
At the meeting, the speaker called upon all the volunteers to become innovators loved by the masses at every workplace seething with the drive for increased production and economy.
Officials and women’s union members saw off the volunteers leaving for new posts.
