The Hyongjesan Rungnado Garment Factory boasts good processing skills.
Chief engineer Kim Chung Il attributes it to the factory’s strenuous efforts to put its production line on a modern and IT footing.
The factory was one of the top 10 IT model units of 2018.
It introduced the integrated management information system several years ago and has constantly updated it to grasp all production lines ranging from delivery of materials to cutting, sewing, processing, examination, finishing, packaging and forwarding as well as the technical indexes of the products, and track and analyse the results. As a result, it identifies problems arising in the production and takes measures promptly.
On this basis, it has directed efforts to the modernization of equipment.
It has built up its processing abilities by developing and introducing rational jigs and upgrading equipment.
This year alone, it introduced new processing jigs into two-needle sewing machines and the belt loop production line, making it possible to raise productivity several times while improving speed and quality and saving labour.
They also remodelled the active boiler, applied a no-load breaker and protective device to sewing machine motors, which is expected to save much electricity, and manufactured an automatic device of recycling by-products.
The factory’s products have drawn much attention at clothes shows in recent years, with a women’s coat highly appreciated for its unique style at Women’s Clothes Exhibition-2022.
