The 135th May Day, an international holiday of the working people of the world, was commemorated in all parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Those visitors to the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state, looked back with solemnity upon their immortal exploits and greatness.
Officials and working people laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the bronze statues and mosaics of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and in other places and paid homage to them.
Officials of the Party and government organs throughout the country significantly commemorated the May Day together with working people.
Diverse sports and amusement games were held at the industrial establishments across the country.
Working people's organizations in regions including North Phyongan Province and the city of Nampho held meetings including those with meritorious persons of the former generations and with exemplary people of virtue on the occasion of the May Day.
Colourful performances were given at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Moranbong Theatre and other theatres and open-air stages in the capital city, adding to the festive mood.
Similar performances were given in North Hwanghae, Jagang, Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces and other parts of the country.
People enjoyed themselves at the Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum, the Munsu Water Park, the riding service centre in the city of Hamhung and other cultural recreation resorts.
That day, public catering service units in the capital city and provinces served the people with diverse festive foods.
