The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is increasing the production of over-the-counter medicines and reserve medicines to protect the people's health.
The medicines produced at the Thosong Pharmaceutical Factory in the capital city of Pyongyang are widely known to the people for their efficacy.
The producers of the factory are devoting their creative wisdom and passion to produce larger quantities of efficacious medicines.
The technicians and skilled workers have made unsparing efforts to modernize the equipment of the factory by conducting a vigorous mass technical innovation movement.
In those days, the factory manufactured an automatic vacuum low-temperature extractor with its own technical forces to double the productivity with less manpower.
Without resting content with it, the factory newly installed more than 10 pieces of production equipment and is further improving the quality of products while increasing the output.
It is now increasing the variety of medicines by introducing dozens of valuable technical innovation proposals into production. The golden rosin toothpaste, insam capsules, willowleaf honeysuckle medicinal wheat-gluten for mastopathy and Thosong blood-purifying pills are popular among the people.
The factory, which has gained excellent experience in the production of medicines, was honoured to be one of the 10 best enterprises in 2025.
Official Kim Yong Sim said the achievements of the factory in production are a fruition of the creative enthusiasm and efforts of the technicians and skilled workers, and continued:
"Our factory is now directing efforts to the production of efficacious medicines good for improving the people's health. We will produce larger quantities of over-the-counter medicines and reserve medicines and thus make an active contribution to the development of the public health of the country."
