Now the Workers’ Party of Korea is continuously building up its might by dint of strict discipline and steel-strong unity and cohesion while making clearer its readiness to work devotedly for the people under the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
October 17, 2022 was a day of special significance in the history of the WPK. That day Kim Jong Un visited the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK and gave a commemorative lecture in which he advanced the five-point line for Party building in the new era. The new orientation is to develop the WPK into a party that is politically mature, organizationally sound, ideologically pure, strictly disciplined and healthy in work style to meet the requirements of the new era.
He ensured that the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held at the end of that year officially adopted as a WPK’s line the orientation of the Party building in the new era, whose main contents are political, organizational, ideological, disciplinary and style of work building.
Later, the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK was rebuilt under his leadership as a “pedigree farm” for training well-qualified successors and backbone of the Party, a research centre for ideologically and theoretically supporting the Party in its building and activities and a world-class school. This provided the WPK with a powerful strategic base guaranteeing the brilliant inheritance and victory of its original ideals and sacred cause.
In October 2024 Kim Jong Un made public the historic work Officials Should Be Communist Revolutionaries for Whom the Party’s Original Ideals and Spirit Are Their Mental Attributes , in which he clarified the ways and methods to steadily strengthen the WPK by carrying on the spirit of forerunners.
As he indicated the orientation of Party building in the new era and energetically led the efforts to beef up the might of the Party, the WPK gives full play to its leadership ability in the struggle for the comprehensive development of socialism. It advanced the Regional Development 20×10 Policy and other people-oriented policies and pushes them to brilliant fruition with stubborn practical ability, which serves as clear evidence of its enhanced leadership.
