The Chonsong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex has increased production year on year.
Last year it produced tens of thousands of tons of coal more as against the previous year.
It introduced a new blasting method suited to its conditions so as to give precedence to tunnelling and secure enough reserve coalfaces.
The method that makes it possible to raise the efficiency of blasting by over 1.1 times as against the previous methods was applied to all the tunnelling units of the mine.
The mine also introduced an innovative mining method suited to the conditions of its coal deposits, thereby increasing the mining rate by over 15 percent.
In addition, it developed a three-in-one method of modernizing tunnels, which enabled it to save much manpower and materials and increase production on a high level. The method was highly appreciated at the recent 39th National Sci-tech Festival.
Meanwhile, the exhibition of sic-tech achievements it holds on a monthly basis has exerted a favourable influence upon exploring potentials for the increase of production more quickly.
Recently, it has been awarded a rotating pennant and citation in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet for having set a good example in fulfilling their production plan for 2025.
