The Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations is located in the Hwasong area in the capital city of Pyongyang.

The museum which was inaugurated on April 26 this year honours the heroic feats and ennobling spirit of the combatants who dedicated their lives in the sacred war to defend justice and dignity.

Outside the museum there are the main theme group sculpture, subsidiary group sculptures, the Monument to the Korean People’s Army Martyrs in the Special Military Operations and a cemetery of heroes among others.

At the atrium of the museum is the memorial wall symbolic of the immortality of the martyrs through the depiction of a constellation, as well as photographs, personal belongings and exhibits that give a glimpse of the indomitable fighting spirit and the feats performed by the heroes who charged against enemies at the risk of their lives by displaying unrivalled bravery and mass heroism true to the order of the motherland and prayed only for its prosperity shouting “Long live Pyongyang!” even at the last moments of their lives.

This museum was built under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

He initiated the construction of the memorial museum to convey to posterity the ennobling sacrificing spirit of the heroes and their legendary feats, and designated the site near Saeppyol Street in Pyongyang’s Hwasong area, a street dedicated to the bereaved families of the martyrs.

Since the groundbreaking ceremony on October 23, 2025, he frequented the construction site to oversee the whole course of the project from the design and construction to the arrangement of the contents of combat feats and the creation of symbolic things.

Thanks to his leadership, the museum came to be built into a monumental structure of the times that praises the great heroic spirit of the proud sons of the DPRK.

At the inauguration ceremony he said: This museum, where the martyrs will live forever as true and proud sons of their country, has been built. As time passes, this museum will continue to bring the heroes closer to all the coming generations of our Republic, and our army’s successors will warmly embrace the combatants, adding one page after another to the history of patriotism and loyalty lest their sacrifices be brought to naught. The country supported by patriotic and loyal defenders will remain powerful and great for all ages.

Now a constant stream of people from all walks of life is flowing into the museum to pay tribute to the martyrs who represent the dignity and honour of the DPRK.
