One June day in 2016 therespected Comrade Kim Jong Unvisited the newly rebuilt Mangyongdae Children's Camp.
Looking round different places of thecamp with pleasure, he suggested to officialsthat hydroponic and vegetable greenhouses could be built at large camps in the future.
At that time theofficials thoughtthat the respected General SecretaryKim Jong Un was concernedabout the supply service for the campers. But they were moved by his followingwords:
Ifwe do so, it will be good as we can let the campers acquire the method ofmanaging the greenhouses and give them object lessons during camping. If the childrencultivate greenhouse vegetablesby themselves, it willafford them a good opportunity to gain knowledge of the management and operation of greenhouses and to combine theoryand practice.
The officials were surprised to hear that, as they, during the renovation project,had only cared about the matter of providing children with good livingconditions with anintention to enable them to enjoy camping to their heart’s content without anyinconvenience.
Looking at the officials, he said: When building children’s camps in the future, the mainemphasis should be put on enabling the campers to actually acquire and apply vast knowledge bymaking lots of spaces forcombining theory and practice
Thinking ofthe greenhouses designed to give object lessons to campers, the officials hardened their resolve to devote alltheir wisdom and passion to the educationof rising generation, true to thenoble intention of the peerlessly great man.
